Sebastian Nagel

Sebastian Nagel is a Hamburg-based musician, composer and producer, born in 1976. He started playing the guitar at the age of 13. From 2000-2004 he studied jazz guitar at the ArtEZ conservatory in Zwolle, the Netherlands. Own productions have been made with the deep funk bands “Mighty Mocambos” and “Bacao Rhythm and Steel Band”. In cooperation with producer Johann Scheerer, collaborations and projects such as the bands “The Ape” and “Karamel” were created. In addition to his work as a studio musician for Peter Doherty, Sion Hill, James Johnston or Rocko Schamomi, among others, numerous productions and cooperations with the musicians Afrika Bambaataa, Lee Fields, Faust and Damo Suzuki were created. In his own compositions, elements and influences from different decades of musical history can be found.
