Timo Blunck, born in 1962, is a musician, composer, producer, and author. He gained recognition in the 1980s as the bassist of the band Palais Schaumburg and founded the group Die Zimmermänner, with whom he is still active today. After extended stays in England and the United States, he now lives and works in Hamburg and Berlin. Since 2001, he has run the company BLUT, which produces music for film, advertising, and events. Next to his musical career, Blunck is also active as an author, including the novels "Hatten wir nicht mal Sex in den 80ern?" and “Die Optimistin” (2021).
